Chad from Golens is a good guy. He builds some good motors.

Try the chassis dyno places, New England Dyno, or ACS Racing. They might be able to help you out.

No I don't know Steve Varney.

I hear you on dyno time, it can be expensive.

Is the car fuel injected or a carb? If a carb what type of carb?

Give some more details about what you're looking to have done and the set up of the car.

the motor has a Holley 3310 , 750 cfm, I need the carb adjusted and possible timing set, the car runs really rough in drive, the cam is a Comp Cam, part # 12-212-2 . .480 lift 230 duration @ .050 lobe seperation 110
This is what was done to the motor, 350 4bolt main, bored .30 , new clevite bearings, new performance ground crank, speed pro pistons 9:5:1 comp. comp cam lifters, pushrods, and cam, true roller t/chain,
Rpm intake,Holley 750,#3310, stock main jets:72s modify to 70s
Secondary springs,used lightest spring,
initial timming 10 degrees
total timing 34 degrees
i also had the the motor balanced and blueprinted.
the tranny is a turbo 350 fopr now, putting a T10 in the late spring
the rear gears are 3.55s
So if you need any more info let me know, The motor has about 2000 miles.

What do you mean by "rough?" Is it cutting out, surging, or what?

I wouldn't expect that cam to pull much vacuum, aka rough idle. Have you put a vacuum gauge on it?

Running rough like the motor shakes when you put it to drive, sounds like it wants to stall, but it wont ,she idles at 750 in drive, could it be a bad power valve in the carb?? Or could the Valves be adjusted to tight?

Plenty of power, no heistation, Car just wants to go,its that very rough idle thats makes think somethings wrong. When the weater gets warmer in a few days i will put a vachum gauge on it to see whats going on

If you have 230 at 50, I'd guess you have an advertised duration between 290 and 300. That's a lot of overlap, even with the 110 lsa. Maybe you're noticing "cam lumpiness", which is not that bad of a disease. People have had it and lived relatively normal lives except when they get to stoplights.
