It seems some people are having problems when downloading cam files from the site. Please follow the instructions below to download files.

1. You must be a registered user of the site. You can register here .

2. In order to download a cam file you must login to the site. You can login here . A good way to check if your logged in is goto any msg board page and look at the top of the page just below Usergroups should read Logout [ your username ] . If it says Login then you are not logged in and you need to login.

3. Now that you are a user and logged in you can go over to the camshaft database, browse and download the files you want. Please note you are limited to downloading 50 cam files and cookies must be enabled in your browser to download cam files. This has been tested using IE 5 +, Netscape 4 +, and Mozilla 1.0 on win95, win98, win ME, win 2000, win XP, and linux.

If you are still having trouble please post here with the following information.
Browser / version
Operating system
username
approximate date and time you tried to download files.
Error message here (cut and paste).

Please keep in mind that this is a free service. Do not send rude emails demanding immediate action, this is the fastest way to getting banned from the site.

Please try it again. I made a change to the script and it should work now.

If you still get an error please copy the error message you get and paste it here.

btw... I suspect the problem is with your Hotbar plugin your running on your browser.

mac460... That error message means the database cannot locate you as logged in on the site. When you log in the database keeps a record of users which are logged in. The cam database searchs the logged in users and checks to make sure you are a valid user before it will allow you to download a cam file.

Try clearing the cache and cookies on your browser then try again.

If that doesn't work then try downloading a different browser, like netscape or mozilla and try that.

If that doesn't work I don't know what to tell you.

I have IE 6 SP1 and I get the same error that I am not logged in. I have cleared my cookies and still get the same. I have verified that I am logged in by looking at the top of the msg board. Any ideas?

Or, I want just one cam file. You could email it to me if that would be easier than me downloading Netscape.

Thanks for the reply and I took a quick look at the logs and it seems that you still have 2 active sessions. It looks like you searched the cams first before you logged in then logged in and tried to download the cam file several times.

How about trying this, log in, log out, then log back in again and try it. Are you by chance running through a proxy server?

Sorry to be a pain but I'm trying to figure this out.

btw...check your mail. I'm pretty sure I found the one your looking for. Isn't that cam a bit mild?

I logged out and back in. No change. I did receive the cam file via email, thanks. I am not running a proxy, however I am running through a router and hardware firewall. If I knew PHP, I'd offer to help you find the problem, but I have only learned ColdFusion for database access.

Yah, that cam is a bit mild...I just used it to build a few cam profiles that I wanted to examine here at home.
