took the altered out this weekend to race with the shra boys in abilene and coudnt get it down the track. horsepower was the enemy saturday and it turned into a peddal race. 60 ft stayed around 1.15 but blew the tires at about 250ft slid through the traps with the laundry out 3 times and threw my hands up. we did see some over the top old school drag racing at its best in survival mode.

i didnt even have that much success in the left lane, i shook the tires on the line, hooked left ,got out of it,stabbed it ,slid left ,got out of it, stabbed it, 45ed the cones, stabbed it again, got pissed. this car has been going strait all year so it cant all be my bad driveing habbits. the car has allways been a handful but that was ridiculous. ive herd denton is a good track so im looking forward to it

Hey I resemble that remark!

Where would the NHRA be if not for "Wild Willie" Borsch piloting the Winged Express, or The Mob driven by Moore (Moore, Oman, & Bradley), or Ed Donovan's Nanook of the North, or Rich Guasco's Pure Hell. AA/FA was what people wanted to watch, not dragsters (T/F).

The biggest draw was actually in the armature ranks back in the sixties and the seventies with Gassers and Modified Production filling the field.

Today they don't even acknowledge the armature ranks on TV. No wonder the NHRA is on the ropes. Though I think electronics has done more to kill spectator interest in drag racing than anything the ESPN producers have done.

i here ya dave drag racing has become boreing for spectators and the sport is self destructing with cars that go strait and predictable results. a lot of people over the years have criticized my car for being unorthodox but i notice they are among those standing on the fence when i come out of the burn out box. on the other hand i bought a mark williams rear engine dragster last week to run top dragster with next year on the pro am circuit. however i am still going to run a blower motor in it with a auto start. ive been trying to get myself in a 180" front engine dragster for years but it continues to elude me. im trying to find one with some history, i want to make that march meet at least once but i want to bring something to the table

didnt make denton worked on the new dragster all weekend. i should have it together in about 2 weeks. got a new bte top dragster shorty comeing and had to relocate the fuel cell to the front. it was behind the seat right in front of the burst panel. still have to make the wheelie bar plugs for the frame and a lot of little stuff like that. all panels are ready for paint so here in a few days most of the parts will be comeing in at the same time .
im jacked up!
