Dodge has released the 2015 Dodge Challenger Srt Hellcat.

Quick specs:
Price: $ 80000
Engine: Supercharger 6.2L Hemi V8
Transmission: Eight-speed Auto or Six-speed Manual
Horsepower: 707
Torque: 650
0-60 time: 3.5 sec. (Est.)
Quarter Mile time: 10.8 at 126 mph
Top Speed: 200 mph (Est.)

This is crazy, a factory 10 second ride.

What is crazy is that people will pay that much for that car. I don't believe the factory installed blower is worth the difference in price compared to buying the car and bolting it on yourself.

What you are paying for is the decal again that says I bought an expensive ride because I couldn't make one myself (Just like with the COPO Yenko Camaro's that I had before Don put one together, I just didn't get the stripes).

I don't know about that. I'll bet with a tune, pulley, and headers it will run 9s.

i am curious what rods they have in it. when i worked at a performance shop, we figured out 600+ hp would put the rods through the oil pan on the new challenger.

Who's to say they changed anything? To get to peak Horsepower you need to load it down while at peak RPM; a point not often found on the street. Especially with street tires.

Just choose the other lane if you see one in the water box ahead of you.

Per Dodge it has forged pistons, rods, and crank.
