Clay, had mine June 16.

I waited too long (25 years) and the cartilage on the upper bone is gone where it was rubbing on the meniscus. Lots of bone spurs and arthritis also.

Did I say crawling under houses hurts like hell?

Looks like a replacement in the not so distant future. Shocked

So the MRI showed you the damage on the 16th and you will need a replacement? That sucks. I know 2 people that just had it done. Not sure of how great they are but I guess if you don't jog you will have most of the function back.

Adam,
Mentally I will stay under 50 so maybe that will be good enough. Less than a year on the clock for the big 50 for me. Uggh! Still holding together although the optics are starting to go. Considering both my parents had glasses as kids I guess I am doing pretty good. Rolling Eyes

Man I hate to hear that. I'm taking Paul's mindset - I'm going to fight it as long as I can. I'll be 44 in about 3 months and vision is definately not what it used to be. I have bifocal safety glasses I have to put on at times but no glasses so far. I hope whatever you end up doing works out for the best. Clay

I'm still 19 years old inside, but that gets my nearly seventy year old carcass in a lot of trouble. I get to drive again after being seen by my doctor seven weeks after surgery (well actually I told the Doc I was going to drive again: he shrugged and said I can't stop you, but reminded me until I am released I have no insurance).

Still have another ten weeks to go before he will operate on the meniscus to repair them with more dead body parts coming out of Miami. Both sides are shredded and will require a lot of extra effort to bring the two ends together again and hold together with my weight.
