haha ill try to scratch those wheels up. gonna be tough with a near stock tranny, but screw it ill try wheres a cheap transbrake kit?
starting it tomorrow afternoon so definitely have my fingers crossed. not bad for the money spent. i bought the car as a roller for $3500. trans for $200, $2800 blower, and engine for $1000. plus all the little improvements and parts im still under $10000 for what should be a pretty stout toy. cant complain there. |

Probably a little too warm to try and race it. If he got any traction he'd dig a hole in the starting line the asphalt is so hot it is flowing these days, and concrete is buckling.

| a little update here, nothing really went as planned as usual. been workin out the bugs for a while. started it yesterday but shut it off early because no oil was coming up through any of the passenger side rockers. any ideas? i pulled the distributor out and primed it for a good ten minutes but only the drivers side were squirting oil. got to figure it out before i let this thing break in. sounds great though. |

Keep the drill on and rotate 1/4 turn. There is no reason that tall block can't oil the even side( pass) when the lifters are full. |

| If he is using a tall beck block and trying to oil it with a drill he needs to be sure that it has a grove in the bottom of the oiler to allow oil to circulate around the distributor to get to both sides of the cam galleries, otherwise only the drivers side gets oil pressure. A tall deck requires a longer distributor as well so a stock SBC-BBC distributor will not work. You have to buy one dedicated to the tall deck or it has an adjustable collar to be sure it seats properly. |
