With the stock 400 heads(1.94/1.6) and me home porting then I only got 13.2's on a 406 bottom end,5.7 rods,9.5:1 compression,280H CompCam.
Went to 200cc Protoplines,(2.05/1.6, bone stock (smaller cc chambers) so about 10:1 and went 12.3 (only change made)
Now heads shaved a fuzz, bigger valves(2.08/1.6),solid roller, with a best 11.3 to date. _________________ 68 Camaro (LSx time)

I like the cam.....but those heads aren't much better than stock heads IMO
I'd look at some 200-215cc heads (leaning more towards the 210-215 for a max effort with no porting)
Dart 215's
Profiler 210's (w/ econo-port job) _________________ 68 Camaro (LSx time)

Whats holding me back?????
S/R heads to start then the 3200 stall next.
I don't see a good combo there. |

Decided to play with Excel and put my airflow numbers in a chart like the Profilers. Kind of interesting to look at that way.
