93 s10 350 wont rev past 3000rpms idles at 500rpms

thin mayb the timing it fires right over and idles fine till it idles for a a min are two then acts up when giveing it gas?

ok do you think maybe its the cam timing? it fires right over and idles fine for a min are two the acts up when giving it gas do you think maybe the cam timing is opening and closing the valve to late are Earlie but what about the comp shuting off the fuel at 3000 would the cam timing do that?

nope still no luck ran 5 extra grounds put in yet another comp hooked up 02 and knock sennsor new fuel pump relay new oil sensor still nothing..

ok i am getting real confused because the truck starts ithout the fuel p umprelay and i know its not wired hot? have 14.67 volts at one big terminal by iteself . 13.73 at the other big terminal thats inlie with the little ones. .87 at the on little one and 14.08 at the other little one

not really enough of a voltage difference to be concerned. now, if you had 14.6 on one and 8.5 on the other then you got a problem. i have honestly ran out of ideas. do you have a scan tool that you can hook up and look at live data when its running bad ?

EDIT: double check your wiring diagram. i have been fooled by wrong diagrams and/or component locators. sometimes what is supposed to be the fuel pump realy actually goes to the ac or some other component.

the only relay i was seing is by the brake booster under the hood and nothing to check live data

i dont think thats the F/P relay. according to some info i dug up, its inside under the dash near the radio. unfortunately, i no longer have access to Mitchell or Alldata so you may have to PM squeeezer and see if he can help with the location.

If you're only seeing a couple of volts at full throttle that could effect performance.
The way I'd check Timing chain play is to remove the dist cap and walk the engine back and forth with a bar on the crank. If there is much play in rotor movement in would be from a loose chain.

its definitively fuel pump relay if you jump the 2 large wires pump comes on
