Hi my name is Zach. I am from Wichita Kansas.
I am fixing to get a 1978 Chevy Monza Wagon from my grandpa which I plan to completely redo and put a Chevy 350 small block in it.
I hope this is a place that offers good help and advice. I am looking forward to being a member here. |

| Well i am going to put a 350 small block in it with the 350 4 speed manual transmission. I am going to use the ford 9inch rear end in it. and eventually i would like to supercharge it. |

Sounds nice. I mean, do you want to race it, or just enjoy driving it around, show it etc
As far as I know they still sell mount and header kits for them- my buddy had a 1980 Monza Spyder many years ago but it just had the 3.8 and a 4 speed. He bought mounts and headers but never went SBC with it before he sold it off (which he regrets) _________________ Budgets were meant to be broken. |

All the above will drive it around take it to shows and the track.
I have found everything i need to mount the engine and transmission but i have yet to find the transmission or an exhaust that will fit perfectly i will have to do a lot of custom work but it will be worth it.
Also i still need to find gauges and figure out how to wire everything. |

Exhaust shouldnt be too bad. They made those cars with 4 speeds in them- but I am not sure if a SBC bolts up to a 3.8 buick saginaw or if theres a way around that etc
Sorry so vague, just the tidbits I recall from 12 years ago. _________________ Budgets were meant to be broken. |

I am pretty sure that I have found a motor mount kit for it.
Thank you greatly for your input and help. |

Welcome to the site Zack. I have noticed you have been dredging up a few old posts which is ok; but please no all caps. Under the Julie Childs rules of Eat a Cat, or was that etiquette by Amy Van Buren, any way all caps is akin to shouting, and my wife doesn't visit this board.
If you have any questions you want answered ask anew as we are for the most part fairly experienced, and love to explain how to make horsepower without ad money influencing our recommendations (some guys here seem to refuse to buy anything and make their own car parts from scratch.

| Zach, if memory serves there was a monza available with a small block in it so headers should be out there somewhere. As for the 4 speed, I would stay away from any that came from a v-6 car if you plan on making any kind of horses in the future....just my 2 cents & BTW I'm a newbie here too |
