12to13-1 compression
With the new lobe designs the intake will be at I think
261@.050 and exhaust at 267.
.690" lift on both with a 108 spread
I'll gladly post the cam card when I get it.

$436.67 with the cast gear option. Shipping is probably a bit more but that is the damage for the cam.

Always have a barrel of VP C12 in the corner of the garage to fuel up. I was mixing 50/50 with the old setup at 11.75to1 this might need straight C12.

Paul,
What times are you thinking you'll run?
Should be deep in the 10's.

Let me know when you're planning on running it. I'd love to be a witness. If you've got a camera I could record your runs for you.

I was surprised at how the intake cross sectional area is maintained throughout the port. That is really hard to do. All hand done besides most people don't realize that CNC port maps have to come from a hand done port not magic or by computer only.... Wink

What are the flow numbers?

What is the dynamic compression ratio?

Flow numbers I can post later today might wait till I get the cam to figure out the DCR.

Cam guy said I should be good with the converter I have. The engine characteristics should be similar with a lot of difference on the top end HP due to the increase in air flow. He did say due to the weight of the car that changing it too much in the duration and lobe spread would slow the car down. The new lobe design is worth some more as is and with the increased lift and airflow it should be quite an impressive gain.

Yes 17 degree valve angle .400" raised runner head. Dart made these back in the mid to late 90s I picked them up with the matching Wilson intake 4150 flange back in Oct of 96 I had them ported by a local guy who could not finish them. Not enough experience I guess they were stalling at .600" lift and the exhaust was not that great either according to HRD. They also have the Brodix port intruder for that normally pesky head bolt that is in the way. Now with that in there the port wall between the intake ports is straight back to the bowl. Money and time have always been issues and the 406 was staying together up until the cam bearing issue so they sat in my closet. You could say I'm coming out of the closet now. Lucky I have been fortunate to sell a lot of my engine components that have been sitting around on Craigslist to pay for most of the new build.

Here they are. Using the specs for the piston, gasket ect. Compression calculator says 13.179 to 1.

Looks good.
I believe Golen's Engine uses Diamond Pistons in their LS engines. Is that Compression with a 64 cc head?
As an Oldtimer I'm always surprised at the length of the piston skirts.
