Hi there guys,
Please help me with ET guestimate for my 1985 Monte Carlo SS, here is what I have:
weight of car with me is about 3750lbs.
408 small block Chevy
Flattop pistons (KB claimers)
274 Comp Cams High Energy Camshaft
.490 intake .490 exhaust
.230 intake .236 exhaust duration @ .050
1998 model vortec heads (64cc)
stock rods and crank
Performer intake
28" slicks
3.73 rear gear
850 double pumper Holley (too big but is all I have)
TH 350 tranny (with stock converter or about 3000 stall, make guestimate for both)

Please give me ET guestimate for about 3500-4000 corrected altitude with stock stall torque converter and for 3000 stall converter, thanks.

Thanks,

I was going to say that would be a cool super stocker, then I saw your sig Cool

I think your going to have a hard time getting a good et from the small cam/dual plane intake, huge carb & probably "questionable" exhaust. What are you running for exhaust? I did up a 350 in my dads Monte SS & had to get the Edelbrock headers & tie them into the stock exhaust, just couldnt find a decent header for the thing! I like the 408 & 3.73's a lot though!

Well right now I have 2 1/4" exhaust, but running open headers until I get my new exhaust. The headers I got work about as good as any header on G-Body without spending $550, they are flowtech afterburners (tri-y design). The cam is good from 2000-6000 rpm, did lots of research on it before I ordered. I am putting dual 3" exhaust with 40 series flowmasters to rear end with turn downs. Little big for this engine, but I plan on going more and don't want to have to change exhaust then. My carb works fine, I know its little big, but its all I have, I am putting Street Avenger 670 when I get the money though. I think it will run in mid 12's with right exhaust in the fall, but who knows. Thanks for response.
