1969 Oldsmobile Cutlass

was hoping for some good nitrous passes with the cool air but seems like everything went wrong. our usual tow vehicle was down so we had to use the Chevy. i think my Olds doesnt like it. every time we tow the car with it, something breaks Laughing .everything was fine on the car friday but when we got to the track and opened the nitrous bottle............sssssssssssssssssssss....... the feed line fitting had a crack in it at the solenoid Evil or Very Mad Head Bang . no one at the track had a line so we just ran on motor since we were there. of course, the car ran exactly the same it always does Rolling Eyes . we lost a couple races that we could have easily taken with the nitrous. if that wasnt enough, two track employees hauling ass around a blind corner, in their golf cart, slammed into our golf cart and bent the sh!t out of our front bumper. their supervisor said both were at fault because it was a blind corner. so we asked, "why the hell was she going so fast ?" still working on that one. looks like were just screwed. fortunately, the damage isnt difficult to repair. just some tubing and welding. are we having fun yet ?

Tough luck.
Maybe next time you can cover up the Chevy logo on the truck. Probably won't fool the Olds though, that's a smart one you got there!!
How much longer is your track open? New England Dragway closed last Saturday.

Excessive speed in golf carts can be a serious issue. They clamped down bigtime at NED last year because of fatalities and injuries at other tracks.

I could add to this about last night sucking. 17 year old kid ran a stop sign and hit my wife's car last night. No injuries but the rear quarter is slammed above the tire. It is a 1994 Sable wagon loaded with only 35k original miles no rust at all. Not replaceable for what the insurance will likely give us. Blows can't have anything nice any more and expect it to be fixed or given what it's worth in the event of an accident that was not your fault! Rolling Eyes

you could always sue for what the insurance doesnt cover. i thought about doing that when my Impala got hit but the car turned out pretty good, with minimal out of pocket expense, and the most i could have got out of sueing would be a judgement against the biotch that hit me.

The stepfather of the 17 year old driver and owner of the truck is a heavy equipment mechanic. He called me last night and said he would take care of it. He was at least on the same level of understanding that the car has very low miles, rust free and probably not something you could find out there to replace it. 1994 with 35k miles rust free up here in rust country New England not likely.
