sorry i couldnt get on for a while, but its just my opinion that longer rods are better because i had a 289 k-code mustang and i would shift at around 10,500rpms (no bull shit) and that motor lasted me the whole time i had the car which was 3 years, and it didnt smoke knock or anything, and then i bought my 87 fox and tried it out and at about 7300rpms it made a very loud pop, and started knocking, and lost all oil pressure, needless to say i was going to put another motor in it, but i wanted to have some fun, but anyways i changed everything over to bone stock 5.0L crank, 289 (5.155) rods, and 5.0L (1.55) compression height forged pistons and i got that SOB to spin at 8100rpms and nothing bad has happened yet, and before you ask yes my tachometer is accurate, ive shifted it at 8000 for 18 passes down the 1/4 and countless times in parking lots and things showing off, but personally i like to put all the rod i can into one, because they just seem to last longer. and they have a certain sound to them, lol.

right now with my setup 87 block, E7TE pro ported heads, stock 5.0HO intake, 70' Hardened crankshaft, forged pistons, and stock 87 rods, and stock cam and roller lifters, and a XS Power T04S turbo and custom fab piping, i shift at 6500 @ 10psi of boost, last weekend i went 11.2 @ 138mph 1/4mile. You should buy one, they are wicked fun to drive and have so much potiential, i have 3 a Two tone black on red, two tone blue and silver, and black with silver stripes. performance wise they are 1 turboed, 1 supercharged, and 1 with a 175 shota NOS, lol love them all, and minus the SC one they get 26-29mpg lol, lets see ya get that out of a chevy, lol Laughing had to say it. i wouldnt sell them for anything

Went from asking about a MAF and injectors in mid January to owning 3 power adder cars in early March... Wish I worked that fast...

Wish my modded stang got 29 mpg too

And that Tyra Banks would be addicted to the smell of my bedsheets while we are at it. Hey what the hell right?
