It should be available at most any auto parts store, I'm sorry, but I don't have a part number.
It's not a good idea to run a relay for the trans brake. It's not needed in that application, besides, it takes time for the relay to act, and that's not good for reaction times. |

| Two different things. What I meant was not to activate the transbrake on a relay, but absolutely use one for the nitrous system. I can't remember how it is wired, but I'm sure someone will have a diagram that will show how it's done. |

I dont know where ya live, but most stereo shops buy from wholesalers who sell the 30amp and 40amp Tyco relays... I get mine from my stereo shop buddy when I need them.
Tyco relays have done well for me anyways... |

We have used the NO contacts to run the transbrake and the NC contacts to run the nitrous system. The NC contacts are of course in series with a W.O.T. switch. When the brake button is depressed at wide open throttle, it activates the brake through the NO contacts but prevents the nitrous activation until the brake button is released. There could possibly be some reaction time delays with the relay activating the transbrake, but frankly, neither myself or my friends would ever know it. You could have the transbrake button activate the transbrake coil directly and still run the NOS through the relay like previously mentioned. This is the first diagram I found online. I don't have a scanner so I can't really draw anything for you. This one is sort of complicated as it has a lot of relays, but it will work. One thing I have to add is be sure to isolate your realy from vibration. Not as much of a problem on cars, but I have had a nitrous problem kick my a$$ on a motorcycle because of a relay getting vibrated in a certain rpm window and not letting the contacts stay closed. | Another simple way to do what you want to do is to put a window switch in there to keep the nitrous from activating under a certain RPM. |

If you cant find any local, I have been buying my wire and weatherpack connectors from this site and I can vouch they are good to deal with:

Another thing I eliminated by installing a relay was the instantaneous cut out releasing the button when it was wired directly. Since then I wired through a relay and the problem stopped. I can let go at the first bulb and still have a .500! Just kidding! |

The easy solution not the cheapest is to get an rpm activated system like the ones from NOS,Jacobs, and others.
I don't hit the NOS much but I do have the Jacobs Mastermind for the system and it is a nice all in one solution. _________________ 2001 Focus 2.0 Zetec
