lol well unfortunately mine isn't really "race" stuff. its basically just old standard or maybe even rv cam type stuff. and the pistons were factory as well, or one bump up.

With forced induction the exhaust side generally needs more help than the intake as you are stuffing more air through the engine. You generally are looking for a split duration cam with more duration on the exhaust side. This is now common on the street as that is how VooDoo cams and Thumper cams work, more lift with the added duration on the exhaust side where it doesn't sacrifice as much bottom end torque.

An RV cam is basically a slightly longer duration cam than a stock one; as RV's generally have a steeper gear to get them rolling, so the motor revs higher than a stock one in a car. The big difference is in that they have a lot more lift than a stone stock cam does to build power, without loosing bottom end torque need to move a pleasure barge off the light. RV cams are great for street driven cars.

Reminder for those with a flag pole out front that today "Patriot's day" is a Half Mast day. I was finally able to move enough potted plants away from my flag pole to get to mine this morning by 9 AM this morning. Didn't even think of it until I saw Smoke's tribute on the main page.

Time does fly!
