Will the fuel injection system in a 98 Chevy Cheyenne C1500 with a 5 speed 305. Work on a ls2? Does anyone know of any other modifications I might have to make?

I would say not even close. The 305 is a Gen1 chevy and the LS2 shares nothing with it (bellhousing pattern is about it). Clay

It is the head that makes the power on the LS-x series of motors, not the injection system (which hasn't changed that much from sequential TPI offered on the LT-1, LT-4 motors). They changed the port shape to get the air past the push rods and head bolts by raising the ports (a carb would be through the hood if you tried that trick on a first generation small block), but by curving the intake path with only dry air in the runner they can get the LS-x manifold to fit under even a Corvette hood.

It won't is the short answer. The LS1,2,3,6, & 7 have cam and crank sensors. Your 305 doesn't have those so the injection won't work.
