I didn't mean for it to sound like I was doing it, I was going to but had an accident and insurance is paying 2/3's of it
I was gonna go with the DSE tubs but I'm on a budget and the shop was given strict orders on the limit. We agreed on a price and I set a cushion limit for all "the little things".
I get to see her once a week. I was there Friday and not much was done, just rough cut on the quarter, then BAM... he worked on it over the weekend to catch up... _________________ 68 Camaro LSx

Man that's scary seeing a car like that. I know it has to be done, but it has to suck to cut a quarter off. What sucks even more is I really need to replace one on my Nova one day.......I'm glad the shop is making progress and hope they get it done soon for ya. Well, the other quarter is on, door was being readied to install, and fender was standing at the front awaiting its turn to be installed.
Did run into a problem with the deck lid being 3/4" too narrow as measured next to the old one... _________________ 68 Camaro LSx

I just spoke with a colleague at work that has a 1967Camaro Convertible Pace car one of 3 know built big block cars. When he got the car he called in the vin to find out what he had they just hung up on him. Some time later a GM rep came to his house and inspected it. It is now been restored using GM provided parts and he can not drive it on the road because of the deal that GM made providing the parts. The only other one known to exist is at Yenko. The whereabouts of the 3rd one are not known. I told him about the 3/4" issue and he said that the 69 rear panel between the rear window and the trunk is 3/8" wider on each side fender to fender than the 67 and 68. This would make a total of 3/4" difference. It is possible that there was a 69 rear valence and deck lid on that car. You probably have that correct deck lid one that is narrower but have installed the wrong panel between the fenders/below the windsheild. _________________ 2001 Focus 2.0 Zetec

Yes it is interesting I thought this guy was the best source to ask and he did have an answer that makes sense. _________________ 2001 Focus 2.0 Zetec
