Just got back man what a weekend the car ran great the track was questionable espeacially during the filming since the dew set in, the topend was, lets just say I had a little bit of a pucker factor on every pass and normally our car runs straight as an arrow. They picked a 10.30 class and we were all within 6 hundredths of each other, we ran a 10.31 during qualifying. We decided to footbrake it since the track wouldn't hold it with the trans brake. First round we beat a 68 Camaro pretty handedly, 2nd race beat a Nova by .009 real close race I finally pulled him at the end, 3rd was a 91 Mustang Coupe that we beat pretty bad (he missed a shift), For the final it was us against a 2005 vette with a LS2, ported heads cam and a little Nitrous. He got me off the line on the first pass and I started to catch him at the end but he nosed me out he ran a 10.29 and we ran a 10.28, the next pass I brought it up on the converter a little higher and hoped the track would hold it, long story short it didn't hold and our time fell off to a 10.39 and he took home the big cash. We walked away with $2000 in bet winnings so it was a good day but I wish I could have used the transbrake it would have given me a little bit on the reaction time. But I can't complain two cars that we built make back to back final round appearences, $2000+ the other $20K Joe won last month, Nothing broke, and a little TV time, all and all a dream come true for me, my son, my dad and our racing team/shop. The Gainesville show will be televised in July and the Atlanta show will be August so keep an eye out for my ugly face.

Bam Very Happy

Yep that him there was like 3 or 4 vettes that said MTI on them. His car really ran good. I guess if I had to loose at least it was to a Corvette and a guy who races regularly. I would have felt bad if just some joe blow off the street that never races beat.

Those guys race a lot. The Vettes are pretty fast too.. Some of the cars are in the 9's..

Very cool, especially knowing how hard all of you worked to get your car going for the event. Good job! Clay

One of my pit guys said it had NOS on it but I never saw it I was to busy or should I say"Jacked up" in front of like 20K spectators. That car worked real good I wish we could have made it go three races but our car just wasn't working on that slick track to make up for my slower reaction compared to his. They told us after the show that I had won 2 of my races on hole shots and that he beat me the first pass because of a hole shot. The second pass was never close because I spun off the line and was chasing him the whole track. So it was to N/A cars footbraking that made it through all the other cars using transbrakes thats funny to me. But I still wish I could have used mine. For only 12 passes on the new motor and still trying to get the suspension to work right we are pretty happy. Tell that guy for me I said congrats and I enjoyed racing him.

Very nice job, dude! I'm not worthy I've already got the 14th marked on my calendar. Especially impressive that you did it with so little shake-down time. When I grow up, blah, blah, blah.
