My analogy was comparing the restrictive nature of the manifolds upstream of the 3" diameter pipes and free flowing mufflers. I'm all for the "sleeper" approach. One of the ideas rollin' around in the noggin is to run two bullet mufflers in each side, one in the traditional location, and one just before the bumper exit like a resonator. I guess I didn't understand what you wanted to achieve. ' Certainly hope I didn't offend ya'.

I can't tell you how many tickets I avoided running Turbo's and full exhaust.
Coming out of Booger Queen sideways brings back memories. The Sheriff came around the corner when my car was straight and just cruising! Laughing secret

Not offended at all 389, and I know the manifolds are kind of a joke for a engine that big with decent heads. I will add the crossover tomorrow and let you know if it helps the sound.

With a x-pipe dynomax UltraFlo mufflers and small glasspacks in the quarterpanels I have gotten a LOT of comments on my car being too quiet, a good think IMO.

The x-pipe did not make any profound change when I did it but, subtle and positive changes though and I think it was part of why I gained very little running the headers open.
