I think the guy's name is Steve Morris, but he runs low 8's with a pro charged 572". Not cheap ,but fast for a 5500lbs car.

VERY much the same car as I have, actually I also have a 95 Roadmaster wagon again same car.

Been daily driving these things for 8 years and like 180K miles took the Caprice from a high 16 second 4.3L V8 car to the high 11 second beast it is today. Only work I pay for is alignments. I do gears, I do engine work, I am in the middle of a transmission lesson. Basically ask whatever you need and if I don't know the answer I can point you at where to find it quickly.

If you want shoot me a PM and we can exchange phone numbers.

The springs in the HOT kit are insufficient and wont fir the iron heads anyway. Not to mention the HOT cam is a decade plus year old design that was noting but mediocre when it came out.

I would start with intake stuff, a little work with a hole saw and some PVC pipe is worth like 10-15hp at the wheels. Exhaust is worth a fair amount too BUT the over the axle part on the wagons is a royal PITA. Easiest to just get proper parts meant for an Impala for the headers, intermediates, mufflers and then either retain the stock tails or have an exhaust shop do them.

A lot of guys are quick to want to yank the resonators but they do not impact HP they are straight through.

Headers are not cheap for proper fit though I can recommend some cheap alternatives that take some custom work.

Gears would be high on the list too as the best option these pigs came with was 2.93 even 3.42 carry a potential economy GAIN and make the car feel much lighter, most guys like 3.73s. Once you do gears you need to look at reprogramming the computer with is surprizingly cheap and I can help with.

I am busy pretty much the rest of the day but like I said I am glad to help and if you want shoot me a PM with a phone number and I can probably offer a lot more info in less time.

On my sedan I did a milder cam than the HOT before stall and gears and it was the wrong way to go. Car still drove fine but was not any faster, stall then gained me .7-8 Shocked because the cam needed it so badly and that was still on street tires.

Keep asking questions, I have made a LOT of mistakes and am happy to help you avoid repeating them.
