Or should I leave a small block in it and fly Clay out here to set up some twins for it?

That gets my vote. I don't know about flying anywhere, but the setup I have is pretty cheap for what it is - I've got probably half as much in it as I payed for just the Procharger head unit. Granted, it's Chinese knock off stuff but I'm tickled with it so far. Wait.....do I even have enough points for my opinion to matter Laughing Laughing . Yu da man! Clay

Intended use?
I wonder if anyone in here would suggest anything other than max HP for dragging.
I like the idea of the 'vette. And El Caminos are heavy.

This is a stock looking street car, but I like max power no matter what the use is going to be. I am just glad that preus sales are up so there will be plenty of cheap gas for years to come.

My projects take way to long. I had to move to another state in the mean time. I drove the Vette for the summer with the original small block (not a thrill in the HP department), and The guys from Flo Master used it as a pattern car for a new line of stainless systems, and built the first one for me to keep. Very nice of them, and totally unexpected. Their R&D facility is 5 min. from me in Hayden ID. Anyway I finally have the engine ready, and the small block is removed so the 498 can be installed. While the engine is out, I replaced the heater core, and cleaned up all the AC stuff, and resealed everything. I should be able to have the engine in the car this Sat. (hopefully) There are some other odds, and ends, but it is finally happening.
