I was wondering would my T10 4 speed be better or my kenne bell TH 400 with switch pitch in my 74 camaro. with 100- 150 shot of nos. Do you need a window switch with an auto trans. The K.B. has a 1500/2500 stall but I could get a 2500/3500 real easy. It was on the old bosses Buick GS.

When running an automatic do you back off the gas before shifting? should you run a window switch? Is there a good book on running nos?

If you are looking for the best e.t., then from my experience in street level stuff is the automatic will be faster and definately more consistent. Now faster will only be true with a correct stall setup to keep the engine in its "happy place" whereas there is more rpm drop on a manual setup. You don't have to lift to shift. From what I gather, the switch pitch sounds like an good idea, but like squeezer said, it's kind of old technology. I think the problem is either it doesn't change pitch quick enough or it is difficult to build a strong enough converter in that style to be effective. As far as the window switch, if it hooks, spray it from home (immediately) and pay attention to what is going on and you shouldn't need one. Clay
