Need a wiring diagram for the ignition and starting circuits for a 428 Ford, its in a 55 F100. Confused

50 year old wiring ???? i think i would replace it ALL with an aftermarket wiring harness/fuseblock such as the Painless wiring harness.

What year is the 428 and will you run stock Ignition system?
Ford didn't use 12 volt systems until 56. I'm with 10 sec.et. I'd rewire the car.

Going to put an E/Z wiring harness in, have a new light switch, good thing I checked the old one, someone put alumiun foil over the fuse at the back to eliminate the fuse. Also have a new ignition switch, with a starter button. Just had the altenator converted to a one wire. Laughing

On older cars it's amazing what some people do especially to the wiring. Good thing you caught it. Imagine getting it done the way you like it and have it catch on fire.
