My brother owns a '69 SS clone; does that count?

He bought it from a local restored car dealer as a numbers matching car (I had to point out to him they never shipped a 454 in a '69 Chevelle despite what the saleman said). It's got a Sonny Leonard 555 in it now that he has gotten over his numbers matching phase.

I have to build the rear suspension... I have all the tubing, heim and johnny joints and I have the truss made. I just have to make the tabs to weld on the rear axle.

the reason i ask is because i fabricated ladder bars, did frame work and all that. then i saw the suspension that Paul P is using, now i could kick myself for not using the same setup. just trying to save you some trouble if youre not too far gone like i am.

projekt70chevelle,
"Make" is not required unless you have already cut the stock mounts out. Like 10 Sec said there are bolt on solutions that are quite good out there. The other thing is that they have been out there for a while my kit is 10 years old and still top notch for the GM A-Body Chevelles, Lemans, Skylarks, and Cutlass. Morrison has bought the rites to it and now sells it. The ladderbar setup is not a very good street setup. Good luck with your choice.

Well after looking at the prices of suspension kits and seeing that most of the designs arent what I'm looking for, I've decided that I can make a suspension just aswell..... errr I mean better Cool
