Thanks. I was in search of that color Z and got lucky and found it. I've had that one since new. I traded my black on black 99' FRC for it. I'm looking to do something over the winter and was thinking of the new LSx block, a 454ci build to keep it an LS6 size lol! We'll see as cash flow allows. I just read an article in CHP on a LS2 vs 406 buildup and dyno comparison. Pretty interesting if you haven't seen it. The 406 made alot of torque. I won't say any more if you haven't seen it. I see yours makes 660hp, wow!! That thing must be a monster at the track. Very nice. How do you like your C6? I've never driven one, just curious.

My favorite C5 colors are electron blue and black. Electron blue cars weren't that easy to find so my last C5 Convertible was black.

The C6 drives like a C5 with intake and full exhaust.. The main difference is just in the styling and available options.. I love my navigation system and the keyless operation. The car dirves very similar to C5's.. I've owned 2 C5 Convertibles and the driving experience is very similar. I might install a air box which should give me a few tenths at the track. Maybe later I'll install a full exhaust (headers, x-pipe and mufflers)..
The 406 in my '68 is a solid roller engine which is pretty radical.. Runs on 112 octane leaded. The cam has .630 lift (.672 with my 1.6 rocker arms) and the duration is 264/270 degrees @ .050.. The heads are Dart Pro 1 aluminum heads with 230 cc intake runners and 2.08/1.60 valves. The heads are fully purted and were also shaved for more compression (12.8 : 1 right now). I might add a 100 - 150 shot of nitrous around christmas and I'm planning on hitting 9's with the car.. Will see...

P.S. I just noticed that you are in Massachusetts.. I bought my C6 Vert in Wilbraham and drove it down to Florida... Got a really good deal on the car..

A 150 shot would be one insane ride for sure. Have you weighed the blue 68?

The last time that I weighted the car, it was 2850 lbs empty (no driver and little gas)..
Right now, it should be about 2790 lbs and in less than one week it should be 2750 lbs (lightweight rear brakes)

I just added another 69 to the collection. It is a 300 350 automatic Black on Black leather with every possible factory option and the air still works! Prime candidate for the roller 496 I have sitting in the garage.
