Time for my I wanna Corvette story I see.

We had been married about ten years when my wife got tired of hearing my whining about a life long desire to own a 'vette. So I ran dragging my wife in tow (in retrospect a bad idea) down to a local Chevy dealer.

I ran around the show room looking at the various models to choose mine. My wife foolishly thought that buying a 'vette wasn't very practical, but I countered we had a Suburban for moving things, etc. Anyway, it got down to the nitty gritty I had picked my model (LT-1 convertible) when the wife suggested I try it on for size.

So I opened the door and crawled in. After folding my legs like a contortionist, I was able to sit in the seat without the steering wheel cutting off circulation below the legs. This is when the wife noted that my head was above the windscreen. Well above the windscreen. The top of the windshield was two inches below my shoulders.

I said no problem I can wear goggles and a leather helmet with a scarf. She said get out of the car, and we bought a new Nova instead. It was a 350 2dr Sdn but it wasn't a 'vette.

Ran it last Saturday around noon time (over 90 degrees with a 3000+ DA)

Best run was 13.37 @ 106.70 mph with a 2.019 60' time.
Shifted at 6400 PRM. I'm sure that the car will be in the 12's in winter factory stock. Might add a Vararam Intake which should get me close to 12's in summer (most people get 3.5 tenths from the Vararam)

Did already a few 150 feet burnouts with the car on the street Laughing

6-speed, NON Z51..

The car has all options except the performance handling package..
The Z51 cars are usually .1 - .2 faster in the 1/4 mile due to better transmission gear ratios
