voodoo cam 256 or 262 wich is better for me?
stock 350 9.1:1 compression
76cc heads 1.94 valves
stock converter
350 turbo
3.42 gears
performer intake

If you have a stock bottom end then I don't think you have 9 - 1 with a 76cc head. Figuring the usual 0.025 deck clearance, it usually takes a flat top and around a mid to high 60ish chamber to get that. If those numbers in the voodoo cams are advertised duration, I would think either one would work pretty good. If you have a true 9 - 1 CR, go with the larger, if not, then pick the smaller. Clay

Are you planning future upgrades? If so, how soon? It might be a better payoff if you wait until you do other things before you spend the money on a new cam and lifters. Even if you were to find some decent used 64cc heads, the old stock open chamber sbc heads aren't the best and like clay said, I would almost bet you have somewhere around 8.5:1 or so unless that's a very early 350 before the smog crunch.

yes it is 8.5:1 im using a .015 steel shim wich should give me around 9.1 8.9 im not planning future upgrades any time soon i just had this motor rebuilt all new. the car might see 500 miles a summer its verry clean and a nice cruiser and i was looking for a little more tourque with a slightly noticable idle sort of like a muscle car thanks for youre help guys ill purchase the bigger an a spring kit

I would change the converter before the cam.

convertor = god when yo ugo from stock to even a 2400 or so.. =) now, 3000 or better..., I've never tried that...
