Pollution is your friend when it comes to snow removal. Acid rain lowers the freezing point, soot (carbon black) from diesels and coal fired plants darkens the snow so it absorbs more solar energy (pristine white reflects the heat back up into space). Global warming makes for more extreme weather cycles (colder cold days and hotter hot ones) but on average it gets warmer faster the further north you go, so Minnesota should warm faster than say Kansas.

That being said we need more high compression carburetored motors with large displacements and radical cams to generate those green house gasses.
