All I have to say is the motorcycle guys hit their head more than anyone else. If it is good for them it hopefully will be good for everyone else.

That was a saying used by one of my friends. I have a $50 Snell 2000 helmet I bought new so I'm in my own sick on this one.

The sad part about helmets is I have a Snell 85 that is useless. It has never been hit and is in perfect shape!!!! Guess I'll let my 13 year old use it on his quad. New ones are pricey.

That is one of the reasons I can not race legally. I'm over 6' 6" and weigh over 430 pounds, with 17D shoes. For some strange reason I can not buy a fire suit off the rack from Simpson, or any one else. I rip the seams out of the biggest sized Mechanix gloves in about a week or so.

Now I would love to be able to be able to make more than one pass without getting thrown out. But to make my car legal I would need a fire suit, helmet, roll cage and window net, parachute, on board fire extinguisher, rewire electrical cut off (I run the radio around the emergency shut off because kids keep playing with it and I then have to reset the clock in the radio), NHRA drivers license, scatter shield and blanket for trans, axle retention devices, remove my hub caps, (not too sure if my A/C delete is totally legal as I used 12 gauge aluminum sheet to fill hole), competition number, and last but not least seat belts (still use the OEM lap belt and shoulder strap installed in '85 so they are probably out of date).

Other than that I'm perfectly legal. Course all of the above would probably cost as much as a new car and would definitely detract from my sleeper image.

Lets just say I say hello to all the cattle at the end of the shut down area at Bradenton, and I could probably go faster than low 9's if I could ever get it to hook up (way to nose heavy BBC in an Impala)
