FYI, we saw a solid .3 gain just by switching to alcohol on the old motor _________________

Wow!!! That would put us in the C Gas class we have been going for since 2005.... LOL
.3 on a 5 second car is amazing..... Shit if we went .3 we would be in the 5.80's.. |

that car was a 5.60 car and went consistent 5.30s after switching to alcohol. that being said, i don't know how well the carb was tuned on the race fuel. i just saw the time slips. one thing i do like about the alcohol is that its not as finicky when it comes to weather changes. i didn't make a single change last race and temperature and humidity changed quite a bit when the sun went down. _________________

Even on Sunoco standard once the jetting was and plugs good I left it alone. We run at pretty much the same DA every time. |

DA will drop by nearly1000' late in the evening here. last race in Denton was 3400' at noon and 2600' at 5 pm. i stopped recording at 5 because thats when the rocker broke. it got better later in the evening. humidity changes pretty drastically throughout the day too. _________________

Well the car ran great in 105+ temp and 138* track temp. Last runs at 9.85 and 9.75 lifting at 1000' Nick is sending in for his licence with runs signed for.
Last pass at 138* track temp was 6.04 at 111.99 mph..... Hell that could be a 9.50-9.60 run. People were coming by an saw the small block asking if it was a 434...... LOL nope 377".. Even the Chaplin at the race told me the car sounds pissed!! LOL |

We ran the Governors Cup last month and wow!! First pass 9.62 @ 133, Second 9.62 @ 133 third set the 2nd bulb off when the trans bake applied. Fixed that and went 1.31 60' 6.04 @ 112 1/8th and 9.59 @ 137. Great weekend for running pig rich. The last run we dialed a 9.59 and ran the # but a .440 rt killed us. Next year= more fun now that my Grandson turned 1... |

I'm just glad to have a new post to read!
Feel for Smoke paying month after month for a high speed data line with little to no traffic.
