You sure that isn't a 1962-'65 Chevy II with a Falcon grill?

I never realized the body lines were so similar. Since The Falcon came first (and was the first to get a VCool I assume Chevy copied Ford.

Cool Bill! Very tough to win that. I'm sure it was a lot of hard work.

Well a lot has happened since my last update so I will fill you in on some. I managed to land a sponsor for our team so we could take 4 cars to all the NMRA races for 2015. They paid entry fees and fuel costs for cars and tow vehicles. So I brought my 3 friends with me and we all finished in the top 10 and got trophies. My friend Mel ended up winning the whole thing driving my Blue 92 mustang that has a little turbo engine I have been experimenting with in it. So after sponsor decided to stay with us for 2016 and I am currently in 4th place. Headed to Ohio in June. So that's the racing update.

Now the car update I currently have 451 passes on the short block and decided to change lifters, Roush spec'd cam, valve job, springs, titanium retainers and I did a little more work to the manifold. I did a leak down on the cylinders and they were between 6 and 9% so I left the cylinders alone and the bearings still looked good. So once I got the engine back in I did a mini tub so I could fit a 28x10.5W on her that took me and my son all week to do it came out nice. I put viking dbl adjustable shocks on it and bought strange brakes for the rear and 12 inch rims. I also had a carbon fiber drive shaft made for it I lost 14.5 lbs changing shafts. Then I moved to the front of the car and put strange brakes which lost 44 lbs off the front. I added a few more bars to the cage to tie in the suspension to the cage. So that was December of this year. Last year I put all rollerized front suspension and viking dbl adjustable shocks. So as you can I have been busy and the Bird has responded well to her upgrades. New best on spray is 9.47@141 1.33 60ft. I now have a wheelie problem that I am getting a handle on lol.

Bam

Wow. Lot of nice work Bam. Dirty Bird has come a long way. I make frequent trips to Atlanta for business I thought I saw the bird on the SGMP website? If I am down there I'll shoot you a PM. Maybe I can see it make some passes?

That would be cool Paul but we usually race out of SGMP about 3 1/2 hrs south of Atlanta not sure you would want to drive that far. But I do race up that way occasionally.

Oh that's right SGMP is pretty far south of Atlanta. I'll still keep it in mind.
