Nick my son drove the car this weekend because the NHRA ass wipes would not let me do a shake down run to make sure everything was safe.
Any way he ran 4 times and went from 11.84 to a 10.34 leaving very easy. We were hoping for another run but they cancelled us then reinstated us after we were packed for the 6 hour journey that took 8 to get home.

Won't let you make a pass? Then after your son makes some they cancel and reinstate you? I don't get it. What kind of f-sticks are running the place? _________________ 2001 Focus 2.0 Zetec

It was a joke. There were way to many cars there. Hell they had 37 top fuel funny cars that oiled the track every other run. |

Actually 4 days kind of. We got there at 4:00 PM Thursday and got 4 passes on Fri and Sat. Was suppose to run Sun but to many oil downs and a few crashes killed that. It was still fun but tiring. My Uncle finally made 1 full pass running 7.32 at 176 on 6 cylinders. We were closing plug gaps the 2 runs prior and still closed 2 plugs on that run. |

waiting for oil downs and crashes makes for a long day. the top fuel cars with their spectacular messes are what brings in the spectators and their money. unfortunately, thats who the tracks usually cater to..... whoever brings in the most money. glad you got to get the car out. its good to hear its making passes. our weekend was a bit disappointing too. _________________

Keith. I once again looked at my magical balls and said WTF...
Shit one more run and we would have been in the 9's the way the track was. Nick never left of the brake at 5500 that would have been good. His best 60' was 1.55..10.34. I ran 1.37 running 10.008 at 1000 ft. |

It was a trip pitting with my uncles car and bring ours in to let it cool off. Checked the valves once and they were happy, then back to to Bill's car.
Every run go through valves, plug gap{ there was no gap on the left on the first 2 burn outs} Fire car ,go through valves ,Check plugs, run the car, have the gaps on 4 plugs close on the burnout. Bring the car back in check the valves add one more washer on the left plugs.... Oh then run ours...Sweet!!! then wait and wait. Then add 2 washers to the left side and I wanted 3 but oh well it closed 2 and still went 7.32. |
