Found a nice set of hooker header super comps that fit my truck for big block. Might go that route now. Have a family freind who has a pump gas 540 with canfield heads, complete less carb, never fired for 6k.

How are the canfields?

Just rebuild it sheesh.
I made 460 horse 355 stock crank and rods, shitty forged pistons,210cc heads cams in the 250* range nbd
500hp 383's grow on trees
Ls motors cost to build
Sbe ls engines and a 76 mm turbo is very popular for 700-800 rwhp numbers
No im not an ls guy,or a turbo guy......im just sayin

Thats no fun, must go big this time. Thinking at least 540. Gonna get the 383 out this winter, freshin it up, sell it complete carb to pan, with the headers hanging on it. Use that money towards big block build
