this little car belongs to one of the shop owners. we spent a little over a year rebuilding it. it has a alcohol injected 582. im still tuning on it. we've only got three 1/4 mile passes on it. best is 8.41, 1.17 60' at 154 mph.

i didnt take a lot of bare metal pics. i never think about those. Embarassed

i dont remember the name of the chassis builder. ill have to find that out. very good at what they do.

thanks. we're going to try another T&T this weekend. we tried last weekend but the track was horrible. tried two passes. the second pass, i could read the Dooley & Sons logo on the door at half track so we put it back in the trailer and came home.

Reminds me of why I only go on days when they prep the track. Then again sometimes it just isn't right. Good call to trailer it after that.

just got back from Denton. that track was great! started out with a 5.41, got faster every pass and ended the night with a 5.27. theres still a little more in there. that was with temps in the high 90s and a DA of about 3900. headed to Abilene next weekend.

heres three videos i took of the launch...

Question for you. Is that wishbone under the car is parallel to the lower links of the 4 link for strength lateral triangulation? Likely replacing a pan-hard bar that isn't IMO as good. Looks strong.

Paul, The wishbone is the only way to go and must be in parallel to the lower 4 link bars. There is no side deflection like a pan-hard bar.

Yeah cool stuff. No side to side with that vs. pan-hard which is why I never really liked pan-hard bars.
