I'm thinking of upgrading my ignition so that I can play around with retarding timing among other things. Looking at Daytona Digital 102003.
Any thoughts?

That looks like an impressive piece. The onl programmable ignition I've messed with is the MSD 6530 (6AL2). It has a lot of the features of the Daytona system but not all of them. Data logging on the Daytona will definately be useful. Every time I have done some form of data logging I learn something. I haven't ever played with the high gear retard. I mainly run the 1/8 so the time we're in high gear is pretty short. With the engine that's in the car now however I'd like to make some 1/4 mile passes and experiment with that also. Clay

Thanks for responding, Clay. I think being able to retard timing up stairs should be worth a little bit. Be nice to be able to take away timing if needed to eliminate detonation Haven't made any real changes to the Nova in about 5 years. Updating to a set of AFR Competition heads and a cam Change. Should finally get into the 10's.
