Hey everyone, I know I know i disappear off the site for a year at a time and randomly pop in like Cramer from Seinfeld. But either way, for those who remember, here is a quick video of the 427 blown tall deck, a day before i lost oil pressure at 5500rpm and siezed the bottom end. (Slip collar distributor was just a little too shallow).

Oh and update, I will be back in the hotrodding scene soon. I have a loan that will be payed off in August, where I will then be purchasing a 2002 camaro ss. With age Im becoming a little smarter, and combining drag car project with everyday driver.

yea me too. I adjusted the roll out of it through all the idle mixtures, but it was far too boring. So I leaned it out again. I used #82 jets all the way around, and at about half throttle, I noticed just a hair of black smoke, so not bad after the first guess. Of course, keep in mind about 4 hours later i seized the bottom end. Slip collar distributors are great with an intake spacer, so long as you dont forget to consider the now 2 layers of intake manifold gaskets. 5500rpm, no idea i was making no oil pressure the whole time. That was a $7,000 mistake. Haven't owned a drag toy since. But that all may change come august.
