That's something I hadn't really thought about with aftermarket EFI. I agree with you - it looks like after it learns you should be able to set a default tune to use as limp home mode. Even if you had to manually select to run in that mode with a pendant or other method. Clay

Yeah he went on for a couple more back and forth emails. Basically he says it is not a sophisticated as the OEM computers and can't remember it's name I mean anything it is doing.

So you want an argument with no support?

Good luck. There has to be a way to do what you want..

I have learned to depend upon those who are most familiar with what they are specialist in. Keith makes his bread and butter playing with EFI (actually I don't know exactly what he does as he seems to be involved in building hot rods professionally as well). If he says that the factory computer is superior in RAM,ROM, data bus access, clocks and software then I would be encouraged to believe him. The factory is ultimately building cars to be trouble free when put in the hands of complete idiots, that will attempt to cut corners, and only perform maintenance if forced into it under threat of immanent death.

Under these circumstances I can see the factory computer being superior to the aftermarket computer. The only thing I will acknowledge that the aftermarket computer will be better prepared to deal with is in being accommodating to accept aftermarket parts.

Personally except for turbocharged or blown applications you can not beat a carburetor in terms of performance, and bang for the buck.

Adam,
I fed him to the wolves. Now it is up to them.
I don't need this guy and quite frankly would not buy from them based on his incompetent responses. He later said it would run just rich. Not what he said at first so flip flop....
Done.

Paul. good luck with that. LOL > the wolves go after the OP usually which sucks.

Up to them means they are being jack asses. Keep the pressure on and make them make it work.

If it doesn't I have a person that could help and is very good at fixing EFI prodlems. Hopefully through E-mails.

If the OP is Original Poster. That is me then. I don't have anything to hide I have the entire email chain of ignorant responses.

I don't have a system. This was a precursor to even considering purchasing one. I guess I know a bit more about their support now at a minimum.
