We were using bungholio though? Name not intended for a person but a O2 sensor bung.
Maybe you are just out of TP. _________________ 2001 Focus 2.0 Zetec

That cam is HUGE. If it had a couple more points of compression it would make even more power. I hope the converter stalls to 6800 at least. My guess is 660ish if you are willing to rev it that high. Edit I just reread the posts, and your estimate of 630ish would be accurate for a 383, I give it the extra 30 because it is a 406. Do you think you have enough valve spring? You would be surprised how much power is lost with unstable valve train. If it bends pushrods you will know it needs more pressure. |

im not 100% sure on springs up to the task
the old setup went 7000rpm,with dancing springs
springs were checked at 240 on the seat
converter should stall 5500
the heads were the big restriction here
that should be way better now coupled with stable springs
im guessing 7500 rpm motor we will see
the old motor ran 10.60's consistantly
in similar weight and geared car (tubbed though) _________________

Just remember with a roller you better have the over the top pressure so the lifter never leaves the lobe. A Rev kit will keep the rollers on the cam at lower rpm's. When you loft the valves you make the lifter start and stop the spinning and that is death to a roller cam.. |

I think longevity will be good this motor has been running since 07
Freshened in 11 hasd brand new endurx lifters (ford dia.) and they are in great shape
I just dont know open presure
im starting with a proven motor with improved valve control, oil control, and increased head flow. Should be a great start _________________

Are you going to measure it or just run it? _________________ 2001 Focus 2.0 Zetec

Cool!! Glad it turned out for the best. Any video? I love listening to an engine scream on the dyno - especially when it's somebody elses . Clay _________________ I have done so much with so little for so long, I can now do anything with nothing. |
