Hello all,

My name is Steve and I am fairly new to the performance engine machinist world. I retired from the military a little over a year ago, and started this job/hobby right after that. The shop I work at concentrates on reconditioning engines and engine components for local mechanics and dealerships, as well as building engines for street, strip, and the local circle track. Favorite car I've worked on so far: 1971 Chevelle SS Malibu, all original, 1 owner. Who knew you could fall in love with a car?

Welcome to smokemup. Hope to see some of your future projects posted here.

Welcome to the site!

If you want to build an engine having access to a machine shop won't hurt.
