By dropping the intercooler pipe routing gets tight going directly from the tubos to the bonnet. It's a tight turn and a blow off valve has to go in there somewhere. Here are some pictures of what I'm describing.
I'm thinking about building a plenum box of sorts to have everything dump into. Not the best idea as far as creating turbulence though. What do you guys think? Throw out some ideas I can think about. Thanks, Clay

i havent really put a lot of thought into this but something that ran through my mind........ since your hat is divided, what about running each turbo to half of the hat and using two BOVs ?

If I did use 2 smaller BOV's instead of resuing the one large one I have now it would actually simplify what I have to do at the bonnet. Definately food for thought. Thanks. Clay

That bonnet input looks like it comes blocked off and you port it according to your needs?
Would a box like bonnet do the trick? Similar to the Vortec ones I have seen?
Single input.
Something like this if you have two inputs..

You could run a top and bottom from each turbo into your bonnet and bore a hole in the bonnet itself for your pop off valve. Depends upon under hood room available.

Funny you should mention this one. I had a tense moment years ago trying this very thing. I had the supercharger inlet coming basically in the front with no intercooler and had the blow off out the rear. Problem was when I cranked it up, it started smoking really bad. When I got out to see what it was it sorta scared me. It had so much airflow over the top of the carb it was siphoning gas out of the vent tubes and atomizing it very well. I was scared to turn it off - one back fire and it would get interesting. I think if I just move the blow off valve out of the junction it might be o.k. I am of course trying to minimize turbulence but it is probably a lost cause anyway with the amount of airflow. I'll try to get something mocked up soon. Thanks for the ideas. Clay

What about putting the BOV in front of the T, see rough sketch.

I gave up and took the simple route (if you can call it that). I had ideas of being able to make a plenum of some sort to make the air not be turbulent but I think the reality is that wouldn't be possible with the amount of airflow. I went with Smoke's idea. Here are some pics.
Took it for a quick trip yesterday and of course it's a pig. Heat isn't kind to this thing. It was the same way with the Procharger when I didn't have it intercooled too. It does look like it will fit under a 2" cowl hood too. Clay

Quick update on this test. When I took the intercooler off I hadn't driven the car in a while so I didn't have a good back to back comparison. When I dropped the intercooler on the Procharger setup years ago it also incresed boost approx. 8 lbs since the intercooler was too small. Last week I put the intercooler back on just to see how much power difference it would make. The turbo setup is a pretty good test since it will maintain the same boost level in the intake manifold. There might be a slight pressure increase in the exhaust side if there is more back pressure but I would think this wouldn't make that much difference. I did put a temperature probe in the bonnet also. Tests were done at 7 psi boost and using pump gas. Timing was the same, carburetor jetting the same, same nozzles in the water injection which was used on both setups. The difference was amazing! No intercooler temps were up to 145 in the bonnet - with intercooler most I saw was barely over 100. Ambient air was in the high 80's - low 90's for both tests. Based on how nitrous systems feel I would say it was very easily a 100 horsepower increase but I'm thinking more along the 125 - 150 range. I don't care how much weight it adds on the nose of the car it's gotta stay!!! Clay

Wow...that's impressive numbers. Was the car running lean with the increase in air flow?
Btw...impressive fabrication work.

now, if we could just turn that air-to-air into an air-to-water.......

Jon, If Clay is like me in distance to any E?? whatsoever he will be lucky to get 92 premium. I am 55 miles away to a E85 fill.... And we have a whopping 91 grade premium.

I guess we mid westerners take it for granted.
I guess i assumed the capital of liberalism(Cali) would be litered by e 85 pumps
Then again dont you guys plug in yer cars
Alot of guys runing turbos out here are doing away with their intercoolers due to the e98
