Any thought on these? They allow a higher flowing filter to be attached to a Small or Big Chevy. I received a card in the mail from CV for 10% off and this was the featured product on the card.

It looks like the filter is a bigger o.d. than factory. That's the only reason I can think they need the adaptor configured like it is. Probably not a bad idea - the larger filter will always be better in my opinion. There is a 2 quart filter (might be PF932) that will screw directly on if you have the room. Clay

The two quart spin on is off a 292 six cylinder step van (bread truck). They are twice the length of a one quart filter so it may drag unless something is lower to protect it (on the six it sits at a 45 degree angle off the side of the block, instead of going straight down)

Anything you can do to increase the filter area helps with filtration as the pressure drop is decreased which keeps dirt from being forced through the media.

Looks like the Wix 51268R is only 5.10"x 3.60". Not so big at all.

As far as the AC delco well it is AWOL can't find that PF987F anywhere.
