I swear I posted this last night, but I can't find it anywhere? I was wondering if you guys thought it would be cost effective to build my own Muncie M-21 out of pieces off ebay. I think I can pick up a main case and tail housing pretty cheap. I would need all the gears, side cover, master rebuild kit...What else would I need. It looks to me like I could probably do it for around maybe 500 bucks as opposed to spending 1300 bucks on a rebuilt one. Whatcha think??

What are you going to put the Muncie in? Just wondering how much torque your engine package puts out.
Will this be for a street car or a strip-street.
For a 13 second mostly street car I'd lean toward an overdrive box.
Haven't had a stick in years but there is no better fun than rowing through the gears. Driving

Well, i'm not sure what its going in yet. I don't know how much torque it will put down either, hopefully close to 400 ft lbs. Maybe there is more pieces to this thing than I thought. Question
