Made a trip to Darlington today to get some 1/4 mile times. I couldn't get a handle on the launch tuneup. The first tuneup I had gave the best results. 1.45 60' - 6.19 at 113.17 - 9.67 at 139.99. Usually Darlington has a great launch pad, but I think the weather kept it from being great today. It stayed cold and very cloudy and twice we had very light sprinkles. I think some bright sun would have helped things tremendously. I did get to weigh the car though. It turned out to be heavier than I thought 3930 with me in it. On the bright side, it's making some power with that mph at that weight - if I can just get the 60' figrued out. I have some more ideas to try and we plan to get back to the track in January sometime. Clay

Hey dude, glad to see you on here. I'm working on the Nova now - changing the rear leafs and taking a little gear out of it. One day maybe I can get mine to leave like yours does Laughing . I'd even put a blue oval sticker on it if that would help.........Clay

You gotta see his car launch - sometimes it trips the 60' with the back tires. It's a very basic setup - decent 351W - Victor heads, Nitrous Works 175 shot - but it flat out hooks. We have a lot of fun with the Ford - Chevy thing. Clay

The 3930 lb. Nova is mine, the 351W is in Danny's car - early 80's Mustang. He is a good friend of mine that lives about 2 miles away. He doesn't get to run his car as much as he would like, but hopefully that will change this year. He has plans for a few tweaks to maybe sneak into the 5's in the 1/8th. Here is an example of the Ford / Chevy thing we have. I go by his house on the way home from work. If I happen to drive the car that day I usually leave a "present" in the highway in front of his house. After I left an especially good set of marks one day he loaded his car on the trailer, unloaded it at the end of my road and left a NICE set at the end of my driveway then shot it back on the trailer and went back home. I thought that was hilarious. The 64 F100 truck is another good friend - tiremine - actually Steve. It has a 429 with a Procharger P600B. Sorry for the confusion. Clay
