The Nitto's have 1/32" more tread depth than the other two and wear longer due to a harder compound. More streetable but less effective at the track. _________________ "It may be ugly, but it's SLOW" |

I ran a set of Nitto DR on my 2002 Z for a while, pulled a best 60' of 1.7x. For an all around street tire I liked them. I've never run M/T's or BFG's but from what I've read around the net they hook in this order:
1. M/T's
2. BFG's
3. Nitto
In the rain the Nitto's are reasonable. I've heard the others are terrible in the rain. If you're looking for hook stick with the M/T's. Overall drive-ability my vote goes to Nitto. _________________ Stop running from your pain and embrace your pain. Your pain is going to be a part of your prize.

Hoosier DR's hook better than MT DR's
MT DR's are way better than BFG's
Have no clue to the Nitto's _________________ 68 Camaro LSx

I'll remember that, maybe my next set of DR's I'll try the Hoosier's. _________________ Stop running from your pain and embrace your pain. Your pain is going to be a part of your prize.

For all around my vote goes to Nitto.
I'm running Goodyear F1's on the camaro now and they are a great all around tire. I haven't run them at the track yet but on the street they hook pretty good, wet performance is A++, handling A+, braking A+, tire wear marginal. _________________ Stop running from your pain and embrace your pain. M/T drag radials blow everything else away hands down as far as a street tire goes. ET streets hook even better but feel like slicks and are a bad choice of street tire, even though they are technically legal. Hoosiers suck in any form if you are making a lot of power. Worn out ET streets hook better than new Hoosier slicks of the same size. |
