.030 over 454, 4-1/4 stroke crank, 10.5 to 1, 224-232,@ .050, 572-572 on a 112 lsa hyd. roller, Edelbrock aluminum oval ports with stock ported exhaust manifolds, 2.5" exhaust. Intake to be determined, but has to clear a 67 camaro ss hood. What kind of numbers will it make. What wil it idle like ect, and wil it be a torque monster, or make decent high rpm power also? Give me your thoughts please.

I think that the cam is way small but with those cubic inches it should make lots of torque...idle like a stocker with an RV cam....just guesses _________________ 68 Camaro (LSx time)

I know the cam is pretty conservative, but it has to run power brakes, and it has air cond., and 308 gears. I was hoping to make up for the short duration with some lift although I dont know how much it helps those heads. I have a set of 1.8 rockers which would put the lift just over 600. I did loosen the converter 500 rpm over stock (2200 or some thing like that) So it should idle nice in gear. Hopefully it will make at least 1 HP per cubic inch.

Buddy has a 454 in a Monte Carlo with a 230 in. and ex. at 0.050" mechanical flat tappet with I believe 110 seperation. Around 10 - 1 with factory rectangle port heads and RPM Air Gap intake. It's a torquey package that makes power to 6000 easily. I think a lot of this is due to the intake also. Nice little beat at idle, but nothing excessive. We have checked the vacuum at idle when he had what turned out to be a booster problem - can't remember what the actual value was but I would say this combo could run power brakes without a problem. I'd say with more cubes yours will do power brakes fine and have a barely noticable idle. Without a doubt, I'd run the RPM intake. Sounds like a fun package. Similar cam specs to the ZZ502 so I figure it will sound about the same. Should have even more torque than the 502, and like the 502 it will be all done by 5,200 RPM.

Well it finally runs, although I have not driven it yet. It sounds good, has a really responsive and throaty sound, and has just a little thump to the idle. Should be drivable next week. I will give you the tire smoking update.
