Hi,
71 Chev C-10, 350.
This is my first post. I've tried other forums for this question but got no responses.
Very simple question...

Can anyone here look at these valve seals that I was supplied by my machinist and tell me which ones are for the intake and which are for the exhaust? I have eight of one kind and eight of another kind.
My machinist won't be open until Monday and I'd really like to get my heads together now.
One of the seals has a metal jacket. I'm thinking, It's for exhaust, but I really don't know.
Any help will be greatly appreciated!
Thanks

Like 10 sec. I'm not familiar with the seal on the right. Are they the same size? Not only stem diameter but also where they slide over the guide?

I have seen both styles and I don't think you would go wrong regardless what you do. However I would put the one on the left on the intake for two reasons. First, 10sec.et has put this on the intake with success and you can trust his input. Second, it has more sealing rings to I would think do a better job of sealing under the high vacuum situation the intake valve sees. That's my thought. Clay

The one on the right is what I have to run with my Triple springs.
They are only .550" o.d. and .500" i.d.

The left one is easier to install and like 10sec said I would use on the intakes.
