Does anybody know if a torque converter from a 700R4 will work in an LS1 4L60E?

For some reason the LS is different.
The LT1 4L60E would work though.
I am thinking spline count?

Take a look here.

http://www.tciauto.com/Products/GM/gm_4L60E.asp

Sort of looks like 98 and up LS types are in their own category.

Although as long as you have a 30 Spline it looks compatible...

86 and up
