I'm taking the Megasquirt plunge. I just ordered up the MSII ver 3. I ordered it from DIY autotune for $257 including shipping. I'm planning on building the MS then making a conversion harness from MS to my Gen 1 Accel harness. This way I'll have a spare computer in case the MS fails.

I was thinking about waiting for MSIII but it's still in beta version and my harness isn't wired for sequential injection anyway. Plus I can always update it to MSIII down the road.

Great! I looked at it really hard before I went the blowthrough route. It will be really good to have you as a resource if I ever go that way. It looks like a really good system, it just offered more parameters to tune that I imagined and for now, the carburetor is doing pretty good. Absolutely let us know how it goes. Clay

The Megasquirt Arrvied today in the mail. I plan to start building it next week and hopefully ready to install by next weekend.

Yeah it is a more reasonably priced aftermarker engine management computer ECM.

I fired up the soldering iron last night for two hours. I'm on step 20 out of 80, so 25% complete. I completed the power supply circuit. I didn't order the simulation board and the instructions call for it to test the power circuit. For now I'm going to proceed without it and simply apply power to the correct pins on the main 37 pin connector to check the voltages. I'm considering getting the simulator to verify the rest of the build.

They also have a relay board for a cleaner install. I need to check my existing harness but I'm pretty sure it has a couple relays for the fuel pump and injectors. For now I'm planning not to use the relay board.

The kit so far is idiot proof, everything is well labeled, easy to install, and instructions are great.
