So my buddies Lt1 that I've been helping him work on had some issues and dropped oil pressure... So he pulled the motor and brought it on over and we pulled it apart getting it ready for the machine shop.
We found this in the process

What bugs me is they are not black( lack of lubrication) You guys weld on the car with the battery unhooked? How does the crank look? |

No welding that I'm aware of... unless he had some work done else where that I dont know about. The crank is still here and I'll try to give you some better pictures to insert more sarcastic humor  |

reminds me of a bearing i saw when one of our "techs" forgot to put oil back in after an oil change. motor locked up in the bay while he was washing his hands. _________________ " we got no fear, no doubt, all in balls out " |

| I'm sure he ran whatever weight was recommended, but I do know it was mobil 1 synthetic. There was some metal in the pan (obviously) when he brought it over and a couple plastic pieces from somewhere... The motor had been used and abused by the PO (140k when purchased) and it received its fair share of punishment with him. The car never ran quite right and was never where it should have been MPH wise (in my mind). |

looks like no oil to me
its hard when you have to work on cars "second person"
its alot easier when its your car and youve been around it all the time
whats this guy not telling you?????
thats what id be wondering
