| All the parts that I ordered are the same measurements/sizes (retainers, keepers, lash caps) I also checked the pushrod length with the pushrod length checker tool. I ended up with .050 longer Intake and .150 longer Exhaust. Also I realise that the fact that the rockers I ordered are from comp cams, and the ones that I have are from procomp. They may be some differences but I'm not worried because the pushrods were stock items at summit, so I can just return them for other ones (8.100 and 8.950). I realize that there is a lot of adjustments that need to be repeated over and over, I WILL take my time and have someone that knows his shit look at it when I'm done. |

I just replaced the parts (retainer, lash caps, keepers, push rods, rockers) of the # 1 cylinder and everything looks good. I have waaaaay more clearance all around. The rocker is sitting flatter, and the push rods are not pressed up against the inside of the guide. All of the above mentioned parts are from Comp Cams and not ProComp. The attention to detail, and parts fitment is way better.
Tomorrow I will be checking the rocker to lash cap engagement/fitment. When I have better lighting.
I feel so relieved we (my brother and I) were able to get the keepers off of the worse looking ones, without dropping the valves! |

color the tip of the valve with a sharpie, so you can see where the rocker arm is contacting the tip of the valve. Post some pics so we can see them.
Should look something like this........
